New Tel Aviv Free Tour
SANDEMANs NEW TEL AVIV will be closed for the off-season We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming you on a tour soon!
In 2009 Tel Aviv turned one hundred years old so its tale is a short one but its creation was the culmination of a muhc older story. As the first Hebrew city since ancient history it plays a leading role in the story of the State of Israel, the history of Jewish people and the development of the Middle East.
Our easy-going walking tou goes beyond the fateful day in 1909 when 66 families drew lots to share out the sand dunes. We look at the history of the first pioneers, the problems they overcame and the internal struggles over the direction of Zionism. Our expert guides peel back the city from the skyscrapers to the now-trendy suburb where it all began, Neve Tzedek.
